Embrace the changes
When you write your poetry down
Don't feed the fables
Don't keep the ghosts around
And you can write your own lines
In a Chapter of despair

What lives in the dragon's lair
Hide within the pages
Of the scripts they write for you
Smile for the faces
Just like they tell you to
Don't believe the blue eyed angels
When they swear they speak what's true
Don't trust the blunt razor
When it swears it won't cut you
Don't shoot the messenger
When they read the written words
Don't over look the passenger
When they say that they're not hurt
Don't you turn a blind eye
When its gone beyond a joke
Don't fuel the scripted lie
That's killing off the hope

She reads my heart from diamonds in the sky
They'll pass me by the how and why
I follow her ever burning light
A Candle in the night so black and white
I read the part that she once played
Her sunlight dries the rain the ever changing days
We wander forever marking time threads join and intertwine reading the lines
Dance of the mind
Choirs sing signs
To an empty hall
With no lights on the stage
Tradgedy's verse
Comedy's smile
Through her i see
All that is me
Photographed smile
Picture perfection
The eyes of her mind
Shows my dragon's tale
Enlightening portrait
Thorn covered roses
Witches disguise
Between her and i

A work of art sits on the floor
Sits in the dark it sits alone
Famous paintings on the walls
The lights are on for all to see
My eyes believe not what they see
My dreams play symphonies of me
My waking hours don't seem real
My path it twists from left to right
To find my way within the night
The window shows all but the light
The artist hides beneath the wine
The brush strokes stand the test of time
Mirrored self portraits of the soul
The jester cast out in the cold
My mind it writes the script in verse
My river flows it's nature's hearse
My colours in water graves immersed
My heart lies with tales time forgot
My spirit searched for what is not
My severed tongue no longer talks
Can you sail upon the sand
Walk on the water
Could you lend a hand
Just like you ought to
Ego locked in your crutch's vice
Don't get to pull your loaded trigger twice
Count the voices that were never there
You paint the pipe upon the chair
